We need to know engine classification first when we are matching the engine of the feed pump products. Here are some of our regular classifications of engines.
Engine classification: engine has many classification methods according to its different characteristics.
1. by fuel
&Nbsp; can be divided into diesel engines, gasoline engines and natural gas engines.
2. according to the number of circulatory strokes
A) four stroke engine: the piston moves four stroke or the crankshaft turns to two circles to complete a working cycle in the cylinder.
B) two stroke engine: the piston moves two strokes or the crankshaft turns into a circle to complete a working cycle.
3. according to the cooling method
A) water cooled engine: water as a cooling medium
B) air-cooled engine: air is used as cooling medium (suitable for water shortage areas, such as desert countries).
4. according to the ignition method
A) compression ignition engine: the high temperature generated by compressed air in the cylinder makes the fuel self ignite. Such as diesel engine.
B) spark ignition engine: the spark ignited by spark plugs is used to force the fuel to ignite and burn. Such as gasoline engine, gas machine.
5. methods to form a combustible mixture
A) a mixture of external engines: fuel and air mix first and then enter the cylinder. For example, a gasoline engine using a carburetor.
B) internal combustion engine with mixed gas: fuel is injected into the cylinder near the end of compression and mixed with air in the cylinder. Such as diesel engine.
6. according to the intake mode
A) naturally aspirated engine: air enters the cylinder by suction from the piston.
B) turbocharged engine: to increase power, a supercharger is installed on the engine, so that the gas entering the cylinder is compressed by a compressor before entering the cylinder.
7. according to the number of cylinders
A) single cylinder engine
B) multi cylinder engine: according to the arrangement of cylinders, it can also be divided into
I. vertical vertical engine: all cylinder centerlines are in the same vertical plane.
Ii. in-line horizontal engine: all cylinder centerlines are in the same horizontal plane.
III. V engine: the cylinder centerline is in two planes, and the two planes intersect V.
IV. opposed engine: V angle is 180 degrees, also known as opposed.
V. others: there are H, X, star and so on, but they are rarely used in vehicles.
