The sewage pump is one of the non blockage pumps. It has a variety of forms, such as diving and dry two. The most common dive type is WQ type submersible sewage pump. The most common dry sewage pump, such as the W horizontal sewage pump and the WL vertical sewage pump, is the most common type of sewage pump. It is mainly used to transport urban sewage, and fiber in stool or liquid. The medium of solid particles such as paper scraps is usually not more than 80 C at the temperature of the conveying medium. Because the conveyed medium contains fibers that are easily wound or bunched. Therefore, the pump flow path is easy to plug. Once the pump is blocked, the pump can not work properly or even burn the motor, resulting in poor drainage. It has a serious impact on urban life and environmental protection.  Therefore, anti plugging and reliability are the important factors of sewage pump.


Like other pumps, impeller, water pressure chamber are the two core components of sewage pumps. The performance of the pump also represents the performance of the pump, the anti blocking performance of the sewage pump, the high and low efficiency, and the performance of the cavitation. The anti abrasion performance is mainly guaranteed by the two parts of the blade pump and the pressure water chamber. A brief introduction is made below:


1, impeller structural type: impeller structure is divided into four categories: blade type (open type, closed type), swirling flow type, flow channel type, (including single channel and double channel) spiral centrifugal type four kinds, open type half open impeller manufacturing convenient, when the impeller is blocked, can easily clean and repair, but in long-term operation, in the The abrasion of particles will increase the gap between the blade and the side wall of the pressurized water chamber, thus reducing the efficiency. And the increase of gap will destroy the pressure difference distribution on the blade. It not only produces a large number of vortex loss, but also increases the axial force of the pump. At the same time, the stability of the liquid flow in the flow channel is destroyed because of the gap enlargement. The pump produces vibration. The type impeller is not easy to transport the medium with large particles and long fiber. In performance, the impeller is inefficient and most efficient. The rate is about 92% of the ordinary closed impeller, and the lift curve is relatively flat.


2, swirl impeller: the impeller of this type of impeller is partly or completely reduced by the impeller. Therefore, it has no blockage performance, super particle ability and long fiber passing ability. The particles flow in a pressurized water chamber driven by the swirl generated by the rotation of the impeller. The suspended particles themselves do not generate energy, but only exchange energy in the flow channels and liquids. During the flow process, the suspended particles or long fibers do not contact with the blades, and the wear of the blades is lighter, and there is no increase in the clearance due to abrasion. In the long run, the efficiency of the blade will not be seriously reduced. The pump with this type of impeller is suitable for the extraction of medium with large particles and long fiber. In terms of performance, the impeller efficiency is low, only about 70% of the ordinary closed impeller, and the lift curve is relatively flat.


3, closed impeller: this type of impeller has higher normal efficiency. In the long run, the situation is relatively stable, and the axial force of the impeller is smaller, and vice blades can be installed on the front and rear cover plates. The vice blades on the front cover can reduce the vortex loss and the wear of the particles on the sealing ring. The auxiliary blade on the rear cover not only balances the axial force, but also prevents the suspended particles from entering the mechanical seal cavity to protect the mechanical seal. However, the impeller has no blockage and is easy to be entangled, so it is not suitable for pumping sewage medium containing large particles (long fibers).


4, runner impeller: the impeller belongs to a vane free impeller, and the impeller runner is a curved flow passage from inlet to outlet. So it is suitable for pumping medium containing large particles and long fibers. Good resistance to plugging. In terms of performance, the efficiency of the impeller is quite different from that of the conventional closed impeller, but the lift curve of the impeller pump is steeper. The power curve is relatively stable, and it is not easy to produce the superpower problem, but the cavitation performance of the impeller is not as good as that of the ordinary closed impeller. It is especially suitable for the pump with pressure inlet.


5. Spiral centrifugal impeller: the blade of the impeller is a twisted helical blade, extending along the axial direction from the suction port on the conical hub body. The pump of the impeller has both the function of the volume pump and the centrifugal pump. When suspended particles flow through the blades, they do not bump into any part of the pump, so they are nondestructive. The damage to the conveyer is small. Because of the propelling effect of spiral, the passing of suspended particles is strong, so the pump using this type of impeller is suitable for pumping medium containing large particles and long fibers, and high concentration medium. It has obvious characteristics in the case of strict requirements for the destruction of conveying medium.


In terms of performance, the pump has a steep lift curve and a flat power curve.


The most common type of water pump used in sewage pump is spiral case, and the guide vane or runner guide vane is mostly used in the internal mounted submersible pump. There are three kinds of spiral case, spiral type, ring type and medium type. The spiral spiral case is basically not used in the sewage pump. Because of its simple structure and convenient manufacture, the annular pressure chamber is used in small sewage pumps. However, due to the emergence of intermediate type (semi helix) pressurized water chamber, the application scope of annular pressure chamber is getting smaller. The intermediate type pressurized water chamber has the high efficiency of helix and the high permeability of the annular pressure chamber. More and more attention has been paid to manufacturers.


To sum up, no matter any series of sewage pumps are only a combination of different types of impellers and different types of water pressure chambers according to the requirements of the conveying medium and installation, as long as the impeller and the pressure are pressed.
